Punta Tombo + Playa Unión

( From September until Aprill) 

In this programme, we will visit the most important penguin reserve of Latinamerica. It is combined with the magnificent experience of Commerson’s dolphin watching in its natural habitat.

Our excursion starts at 7:30 AM. Passengers are picked up at their hosting. Frist stop, Puerto Rawson, Playa Unión, at 9:00 AM – Optative, Commerson’s dolphin watching navigation, the smallest dolphin in the world. We have to remember that this animals are friendly and playful, they live in liberty so our navigation patrons will do what is possible to find them. The duration of this excursion lasts for about 1 hour approx.

When returning there will be time for a free picada in Puerto Rawson, famous for its fish and seafood. After that, we will move to Punta Tombo, a geographical accident that serves as habitat to Magellanic penguin. The estimated time on the reserve is about 1:30 – 2:00 hours- There, we will have time to observe from the coast how gulls, skuas, giant petrels, cormorants, oyster catchers and steamer ducks coexist , and given the extension of the area, characteristic species as guanacos, choiques, Patagonian maras and foxes.

The price does not include neither entrance nor lunch.
